Terms and Conditions

  1. By paying Web Design with Love you agree to enter into a contract.
  2. Web Design with Love prices are as advertised. A 50% NON REFUNDABLE deposit is payable when ordering your site.
  3. All domain names will be registered in the client’s name and as such the domain name belongs to the client, not to Web Design with Love. The exception is if Web Design with Love does not receive payment for services carried out or monies are owed, on which occasions, the domain name will be the property of Web Design with Love.
  4. All Web Design with Love websites carry the message “web design by Web Design with Love” at the base of each page, with corresponding hyperlinks to our website. These can be omitted at an agreed price. We reserve the right to reinstate this and remove your administrative rights, should this be removed without our express permission.
  5. Any requests for changes to your site after live approval by you, where all snagging issues have been mutually resolved will incur a £5 admin charge (per change). Larger changes requiring additional pages are charged at the rate of £100 per page.  However, minor amendments such as change of address or telephone number will incur no charge.
  6. You will have administrative rights to your website and you will be able to make changes to your own site and amend content in the future. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word will be necessary to manage your site. Web Design with Love will provide you with training in order to help you manage your site. Web Design with Love does not accept responsibility for any changes that you make to your own site. Any further advice on updating your site, or advice on how to rectify any changes you have made will be charged at the hourly rate of £40 per hour with a minimum of one hour. If Web Design with Love needs to fix changes that you have made, a one off fee of £40 will apply, plus the standard hourly charge, should it take longer than an hour to fix the site.
  7. All website builds require you to submit your own text (copy) for inclusion on your new website. All text should be divided into sections relevant to your page names and submitted by you in Word format or an equivalent (electronic) format. All spell checking is the responsibility of the client and any errors that need rectifying will be charged at either £5 per change or £30 per hour. All text must be thoroughly reviewed before submission, as major alterations or additions that affect and work already carried out by Web Design with Love will incur an hourly charge of £40. Any photos, logos or graphics you wish to include should be submitted by you in either Jpeg, png or gif format, and should be submitted by email or via a cloud platform such as Dropbox. All text and images submitted must be free of copyright and Web Design with Love do not accept responsibility for any infringement of copyright law arising from any text or images provided.
  8. All rights and copyrights for logos created will be transferred to the customer once payment has been received by Web Design with Love and until such time, the logo will remain the property of Web Design with Love.
  9. Web Design with Love in no way guarantees that a website will be fully accessible to screen readers or be deemed an accessible site.  If the country in which you reside outlines in law that the website should be accessible then it advisable that you seek a designer/developer who specialises in accessibility. Accessibility is a specialised field and you need to be prepared to pay a specialist for this work.
  10. All rights and copyrights for websites created will be transferred to the customer once payment has been received by Web Design with Love and until such time, the website design and layout will remain the property of Web Design with Love.
  11. Web Design with Love includes Google fonts in the website build. Non Google fonts will incur an extra charge of £40, plus the cost of the font if applicable.  Google fonts offer a wide variety of fonts which can be found at https://fonts.google.com/
  12. We reserve the right to include a screenshot/page of, and link to your completed website.
  13. A website “page” is generally intended to mean a page of content of approximately A4 in size. Individual pages with more than A4 sized content will be charged at the additional page rate which will vary depending on the content (per A4 sized page of content).
  14. All Web Design with Love websites are optimised for viewing on the most commonly used viewing platform, that is, on computers running Edge, Chrome, Firefox or Safari with a screen resolution of 1024×768 (or above). We can offer no guarantees of correct function across all browser platforms and mobile devices.
  15. A £20 transfer fee is applicable for the transfer of any domain away from the current host.
  16. In order to process your order we require payment of your 50% (NON REFUNDABLE) deposit via BACS. Your balance is payable upon completion when your site has been viewed & approved by you via our live Demo Server and when you are completely satisfied. Web Design with Love regrets that once full payment has been received NO REFUNDS CAN BE GIVEN.
  17. Access to training videos and admin rights (where applicable) will be provided to the client once full payment has been made.
  18. The website will be made “live” once full payment has been made.
  19. Web Design with Love provides support for 30 days after the site has gone live. This is subject to fair usage and can be withdrawn at any time if it is felt that a client is abusing this support.
  20. The price includes 1GB of storage space.  Any further storage will be charged.  Please get in touch for pricing.
  21. You can either choose to host, maintain and manage site security yourself, or Web Design with love will host and maintain the site for you. This is for a fee of £12.00 per month will (standard hosting). If the customer does not renew the Service the hosting will expire and your site will no longer be live. An £80 re-instatement fee can be paid within 30 days plus any outstanding hosting payments. After 30 days the website will be deleted. Web Design with Love excludes liability for any loss of profit caused to the customer by the expiration of the hosting as a result of the customer’s failure to renew the Services. Hosting can be transferred to a host of your choosing at any time. You are responsible for the transfer and all future security updates and website back ups.
  22. Hosting charges include daily back ups and WordPress and plugin updates. This includes plugins that were installed at the time of the site going live. Any plugins subsequently added by the client are the responsibility of the client.
  23. Hosting with Web Design with Love includes the use of premium plugins. Clients who self host their website will need to purchase these plugins themselves and use their own license key on the website as is standard practice and as per the premium plugins T & C’s For more information about the premium plugins used on your website, please contact me.
  24. Web Design with Love reserves the right to remove a website from the server without notice.

  27.  A domain name is also included in the price which is valid for one year. After this time, a fee of £20.00 per annum will apply, payable annually in advance. If the customer does not renew the Services the domain name will expire and your site will no longer be live. Web Design with Love excludes liability for any loss of profit caused to the customer by the expiration of the domain name as a result of the customer’s failure to renew the Services.
  28. Web Design with Love excludes liability for any loss of profit caused to the customer by the expiration of the domain name as a result of a technical fault or any other fault caused by any third party
  29. Web Design with Love excludes liability for any loss of profit caused to the Customer by the expiration of the domain name as a result of a technical fault of any other fault caused by the negligence of the site host.
  30. Web Design with Love excludes liability for any loss of profit caused to the customer during site outages. This exemption is also included in the Hosting Company’s Terms & Conditions. Please contact me for these.
  31. While every effort is taken to ensure the site security of those sites hosted by Web Design with Love, Web Design with Love excludes liability for any malware or hacks to a client website. Web Design with Love and the hosting company reserve the right to remove an infected website from the hosting without warning,

  33. The customer is required to have or open a PayPal or Stripe account in order to accept online payments.
  34. Web Design with Love cannot and do not guarantee indexing (inclusion) or high ranking for any website (submitted by us) on any Search Engine.
  35. The hourly rate for ongoing work is £40, with a one hour minimum. This is payable in advance unless otherwise agreed. Any unused minutes will be carried forward and can be used at any time in the future.
  36. If payment has not been received within 4 weeks of sending the first draft to the client, and Web Design with Love has carried out all the work as agreed and is unable to complete the website due to omissions or lack of revision requests from the customer, then final payment will be due.
    Should payment not be received within 4 weeks of sending the first draft, Web Design with Love reserves the right to charge for any services or extras that would otherwise be included free of charge. These include, but are not solely reserved to; domain name, hosting, extra pages and any extra work carried out, which will be charged at an hourly rate.   37. If payment has not been received within 4 weeks of sending the first draft Web Design with Love reserves the right to remove the website from the server.  Thereafter a £100 reinstatement will apply
  38. Copyrights for any work carried out, including the creation of backgrounds and the website will remain the property of Web Design with Love until full payment is made.
  39. Web Design with Love reserves the right to make changes to the Terms & Conditions at any time.
