Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of building and optimising your website so that it gets found in Google and other search engines. If you think of all the businesses that are competing in the same industry as you, Google has to decide which websites it should show on page one. Only 10 websites make it to page one, so the competition is fierce. Google decides who to rank by using complex algorithms that are always changing and being updated.

My cheap SEO service uses the same methods that I used for 15 years to rank my own and my client’s websites. Google loves good content and one of the best ways to rank a website is to add relevant, optimised for search engines blog posts. My SEO service will add 3 blog posts or pages (if applicable) to your website every month.

Please bear in mind that ranking a website takes time. Google’s own guidelines suggest that it takes a minimum of 6 months, so patience is needed. The more competition there is in your industry and the bigger your competitor’s websites (because Google loves content), the harder it is to rank.

How much is your SEO?

I charge £250 a month

Do you guarantee page 1 rankings?

No! Nobody who offers SEO can do this. Google’s algorithms change all the time and are complex. It’s like telling someone that they guarantee that you will win the lottery. It’s not possible.

What SEO do you do?

Month One
I start by carrying out in depth keyword research. Keywords are what people are typing into Google when they are searching for something. For example “plumber near me” is a keyword. It’s vital to know and understand the keywords before starting. I also look at competitor’s websites so that I can understand that keywords they are ranking for as well. This helps to understand what keywords are worth targeting.
I also set up Google Analytics and Google Console on your website so that we can track the number of visitors.
I will also set up your Google Business Profile is you don’t already have one. This used to be called Google My Business and is vital if you are a business offering local services.

Month Two Onwards
I will create and add 3 blog posts to your website. These will be created using AI and then I go through them with a fine tooth comb to make sure that they read well, include keywords and are quality posts.
If the site would benefit from it, I might suggest that rather than adding blog posts, sometimes I add extra pages to the site instead. This is particularly useful if you offer lots of services. For example a builder might offer extensions, bathroom fitting, kitchen fitting etc. Having a page for each service is highly beneficial so that if, for example, someone Googles “kitchen fitting” your page might rank.
I may also suggest case studies or completed projects if I feel that this would be beneficial for SEO.

Is there a minimum contract?

No, you can cancel anytime. However Google’s own guidelines state that it takes at least 6 months to rank a website so this is what I recommend as the minimum term.

Can I do the SEO myself?

Why are you so much cheaper than everyone else for SEO?

In the same way that I like to offer great value with my cheap web design service, I believe that SEO shouldn’t beak the bank either. SEO is almost seen as a black art and lots of companies play on this image to justify charging £1000’s a month. That’s not my style.

Can I stop paying you once the site is ranking?

You can cancel at anytime and it will be tempting to cancel once you start ranking. Sometimes that works fine and your site will continue to rank for years to come. Other times your rankings will start to drop because one of your competitors is adding more content than you. If you do decide to stop the SEO service then I’d strongly recommend keeping an eye on your Analytics and Console to make sure that you’re maintaining your rankings.

Is page one of Google really worth it?

In the words of Meg Ryan “yes, yes, yes, oh yes” (I’m showing my age there 😅). The business that I sold ranked on page for almost 15 years. I only had to market the business for the first 6 months when the business was new (I did old fashioned leafleting). After that leads landed in my inbox at least weekly and often daily. It was amazing. Now that I’m starting new businesses and having to market until my sites rank, I really appreciate how much page one did for my old business.
